How to grant access for Magento upgrade or patch installation task

The most efficient way to apply patches or upgrade your Magento store for us would be SSH access. To grant us SSH access you can send us login credentials in reply to initial ticket response when the task is created or install our SSH key as described below. If your hosting due to some reason gives no SSH access we can use FTP, Filemanager or any hosting panel, just let us know the way you prefer.

cPanel

  • Login to your cPanel account and navigate to Security > SSH access screen under Security section: ssh-install-support-key-1

  • On SSH access screen click Manage SSH keys button to proceed to key upload: ssh-install-support-key-2

  • Enter SSH key name (i.e. Magentary), insert our public key into corresponding text field and click Import button. You can copy our public SSH key from here:

  • Click on Manage Authorization button for the imported SSH key and click Authorize to allow access:

  • If access to your server is limited by firewall, please allow access for our IP-address listed in initial ticket response

SiteGround Site Tools

  • Login to your SiteGround Site Tools panel
  • Navigate to Devs > SSH Key Manager section
  • Enter key name, i.e. magentary
  • Paste your public SSH key into Public Key field and click button. You can copy our public SSH key from here:

  • If access to your server is limited by firewall, please allow access for our IP-address listed in initial ticket response

Magemojo Stratus (SSH key)

  • Login to your Magemojo Stratus, navigate to SSH > Users screen and click button
  • Enter desired username, i.e. magentary, set Enabled field to Yes, insert our public key into Authorized keys field and click Update button. You can copy our public SSH key from here:

  • In ticket reply to ticket please include SSH Connection info from Connection Info field on that screen
  • Whitelist our IP-address (provided in the initial ticket response) at SSH > Whitelist screen:
